Additional notes:
First created by a barman at the famous Club Twenty One in New York in the 1930s. A classic cocktail – which is extremely popular in the USA - so much so – that the Bénédictine Distillery produced their own version of this and called it B&B. This mixes the original Bénédictine with brandy (from the Cognac region of France) to achieve the slightly drier taste preferred in the US. Unfortunately the B&B liqueur is not widely available in the UK but is such a great combination worth trying, we have tried to recreate it in this cocktail recipe.
